George O Bennett, a Hualapai tribal
member, and a Vietnam war veteran, has been making jewelry for over 45 years.
Born in Seligman, Arizona George, was raised by his grandmother.   As a child he would accompany her to the Flagstaff powwow where he became inspired by the beautiful displays of jewelry made by local silversmiths.

After graduating from Okmulgee State Tech in OK, he served a tour in Vietnam.  Upon returning, he worked as a behavior consultant and then a finish carpenter in Tucson, Az.  George eventually decided to forgo his formal training as a carpenter, picked up a borrowed torch, and began his silversmith career.

George uses a multitude of gemstones from all over the world including meteorites.  His techniques include fabrication and some lost wax casting.  He likes using heavy gage silver in his beautiful and original creations.
